Promoters must post a duplicate of their "promotional post" in the calendar as an event. Recurring events are NOT allowed.
If you do not post your event in the calendar, your original post will be moved to a private non visible forum until the calendar event is posted.
While some of you may not like this rule, it will ultimately benefit you because we will be linking the calendar to the homepage of the site.

If I have not moved you into the promoters group, please PM me so that I can move you.
Only promoters can post in the calendar.
Also the holding place for promos that have not been posted in the calendar is the "invisible promos" forum. This forum is only visible to people in the promoters group and can not be seen by members. If your post is missing, please check the "invisible promos" forum and copy and paste your bbcode into a calendar event with specific dates and times. Once we see it in the calendar, we will move it back to the nj/ny forum.
If we haven't moved your promo back after your calendar post is done, please PM TheMoo, Hype, or RiceRocketRider

Ok it worked for me but few things Ant...

1.) I cant post anything in shout box... no option too
2.) Can everyone view my promos in teh promo section?

Jerry,
The promo section can only be viewed by promoters... The point being that if your event is in the calendar, we will move your original promo thread from "invisible promos" to the NJ/NY forum.
The point is that we want to make the calendar so popular that eventually, you will only be interested in posting promos there.
It will also be a one stop source for anyone looking to go out on any given night.
We are going to link the CAL to the homepage once its nicely populated.
I edited your 3-13 event...it must be placed on the event date. Please post your 3-6 event in the cal.
Also the Calendar support RSS feeds.....Promoters that use the Cal are basically going to get a free email blast....both to people that sign up for the feed and a once a week NJGUIDO Calendar email

This will also be a monday or tuesday blast so stay on top of it.

Good job moo, this actually got rid of a lot of the crap that has been taking over the board lately. Namely Kenny Guido, maybe he will find another board to spam

The real reason for this is to initially put everyones promo in the same place so that members can choose what to do, not just see the guys that is bumpin his thread.
Second, eventually promoters will only want to post in the calendar once the RSS feed is set to stream to the homepage.
Third, the RSS feed which reads from the Calendar will be a free weekly email blast from NJGUIDO.com for all of these promos.

All it takes is promoters to comply, by posting their stuff in the calendar....It also gives people a one stop place to see whats going on on any given night.
Not to mention, with the proposed expansion, we will have a calendar for each major city. Which makes alot more sense than bombarding a message board.

Why would it detur me from posting here? Big deal. I have to post on the calendar. I dont mind it all all. Now I can do the calendar and the board.

moo should be a politician he successfully avoided the kenny guido issue
