Guido Defined
What is a Guido? Guido is a term known mostly to people in the North East.
Guido is a lifestyle but to define it properly you have to look at the lifestyle of a Guido through mind, body and soul. The female counterpart to a Guido is a Guidette and much like the Guido they follow the same lifestyle.
The Mind of a Guido:
Guido?s emit confidence to the fullest extent of the word. Knowing you look good is more important than actually looking good.
The Body of a Guido:
Appearance is a very important part of being a Guido. Guido?s want to say something before ever uttering a word. When a Guido or Guidette enters the room all eyes are on them. The body of a Guido starts long before they ever walk into a club. It?s many hard hours in the gym and many hours of hair care and skin care.
Many people look at rock stars and actors and wish they could look like them but think it is impossible. Guido?s know that it is possible and they make it happen. Every night is the Grammy?s to a Guido. We dress to impress as if it?s our turn to walk the red carpet. When you pull up out in front of the club and skirt pass the line to the VIP entrance all eyes are on you and now you?re the idol the others are admiring.
The Soul of a Guido:
With a big heart and a warm smile you know that all Guido?s are a special. Family values are instilled in us at birth and friendships run very deep. When a Guido walks in the club he practically knows everyone in the room and if he doesn?t he will by the end of the night. You would think he was running for mayor with all the hugging and kissing women and shaking hands going on but this is just the kind spirit and good nature of a true Guido.

Guido is a derrogation of an italian. Just like people call other people white trash and ni**ers, and spics. The word guido was developed to make fun of Italians. Today guidos try to pass themselves of as someone they are not. The only people who envy guidos are other guidos, nobody really gives a shit if you cut the line at metro because you go to the gym with the doorman. Go to a real Manhattan club an try that shit and your head will spin. I have clubs in Manhattan and my bouncers can spot a guido a mile a way and they don't even give them a chance to talk. The typical guido isn't allowed to get into a classy place because they will only bring it down. How many guys do you see at country clubs with orange skin and shirts that are painted on. NONE. I wish that "guidos" would stop using that term, because it is offensive to Italians like myself and it also makes you look like a fool to the other people who call you guidos behind your back. Calling yourself a guido is like wearing a shirt that says "I have a low IQ and I make up for it by going tanning and buying the most expensive shirt at Neiman Marcus when I drive a Honda Accord." The word GUIDO is not a good thing or anything to be proud of.

Funny... when i was a kid.. the "guidos" used to drive the big american "muscle" cars... Irocs, Firebirds, Mustangs, Monte's and such...
but then, i grew up next to bloomfield, so it may have just been an isolated stereotype..
but the guys were just usually jeans and t-shirt types.. yeah... ponytails/mullets were also in effect..
but then, it was more about being a "man's man".. ya kinda talked about the neighborhood, sports, your car and what you did to it, and so on...
and yes.. it was an italian-american terminology used as a terms of endearment between "familiars" and as a "insult" by the Ridger kids i went to school with.

in all your posts you seem to be trying to convey the fact that you are better than everyone on this board. you also try to make it seem as though you are some type of authority on the topics you comment on or introduce.
my question is: IF YOU ARE SO GOOD/RICH/IMPORTANT/KNOWLEDGEABLE/TRENDY/WELL-ROUNDED etc., then WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING ON THIS SITE ALL THE TIME? almost everytime i log into this message board, you are logged in as a viewer.
funny how you find time to do this while balancing your busy career at msnbc(?) and all the ownership duties in all your so called "clubs". i think you are a jealous mess who has NOTHING going for himself.
i bet your "clubs" would love to advertise on a site like this that gets this amount of hits. even if no one else saw the ads, at least you would, because you are on this site ALL DAY.
on a positive note, at least some good came out of your moronic postings! i came to realize why the media is such a corrupt controlling force in this country. it is because there are idiots like you out there that, instead of going to find newsworthy, truthful stories, sit on njguido.com all day, and daydream about living the night life like some of the people captured on this site!
msnbc GROW UP. if you don't like the site then DON'T COME HERE. go back to your country club and ACT like you have money/prestige.

Clark, first of all I am hardly ever on this board. Second, I am not trying to convey that I am better than anyone, I am just trying to tell you that by calling yourself a guido you look like a jack-ass. That is like Anna Nicole Smith starting a website called WWW.WHITETRASHWHORE.COM. I am an authority on all topics, I am very informed and I don't comment on anything that I don't know about. I don't work at msnbc, I am in investor in clubs and a real estate developer. The patrons at my clubs are mid 20's to 45, upper class. I don't advertise for my places, we don't need to. The people on this site are not the demographic we are going for. Our customers don't take off their shirts or wear sunglasses inside and proclaim themselves as "classy." Our customers and my friends know that if someone called them a guido we would first, be offended, and second ask who was going to beat the shit of him first. By the way I can't handle the way some people on this site "party like rock stars." It is too hardcore for me to stay out until 3:00 at Metro then get up the next day for class. You have two choices: 1) grow up and realize that the only people who don't laugh at you when you call yourself a guido are other guidos. 2) Be a guido the rest of your life and ACT like you are a BIG SHOT at Metro, Joeys or some other dump, because you get in for free and know the owner because you buy 8-balls of him. I compare the people on this site who call themselves guidos to AL SHARPTON. Everyone knows he is an asshole and acts like a fool, but he continues to carry on and his followers don't think there is anything wrong with it. All I am saying is take a step back and look at yourselves. Everything that Italians have fought for over the years crumbles every time another "guido" talks about how many times he goes tanning or how bad of a k-hole he was in last night. Respect is earned.

In case you didn't know it, for a guy who claims he's hardly on this board, you are one of the all time top 10 posters on this board. Thanks for showing us just what an important guy you really are.
