This was necessary for survival alone. We needed to open things up to increase our advertising revenue. And while we did not make a fortune, we did keep the site running. It helped for several years.

There is no doubt that the big Social Networks killed everyone....Fine... At this point my decision is to give the site back to the people that always cared. I have gotten us to a place that will allow NJGUIDO.com to survive on my pocket alone, and I will do what I can to bring the site back to the site that you loved.

NJGUIDO.com and NLSociety.com faithfuls. I have a HUGE announcement.

FOR THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF NJGUIDO.com

NJGUIDO.com will return - yes some of the RETRO look will Return. Control of the messageboard will be given back to you....the members.... Promoters will have to PAY to post and this will cut those posts down to a minimum.

This means..... threads, posts, all about the members. All the bantering, and fun, and photo and food threads will be back and they will be the focal point.

The guidos and guidettes will have their heaven.... The hell with the rest.

I will be working tirelessly on this over the next few weeks.
An advertising subscription for a minimal fee will be available for the promoters to post. If you want your stuff here, you can afford $10/month. Thats one freaking patron in some clubs.

During the previous upgrades to the site, I have noticed that forum posts with links to old pictures have been broken. I have restored all of these old directories and now all of those pictures will once again appear.

You will notice some additional features, one of which is the "client area"
In the client area there is a "Referral" feature.
EACH MEMBER HAS A UNIQUE REFERRAL CODE so make sure to sopy and past the code from there.
Put this referral banner on all of your media, emails, social networks and earn a 10% commission on ANYTHING purchased from the store.
As of now there is only one banner located in the referral area however more banners will be created to better suit your promotional needs.

All promoters must select an advertising package to post events in the forum/calendar.
You can select a package by clicking on the "store" and purchasing an advertising plan.

If you would like to interact as a general member and not post events and not pay for event posts, please PM me and I will move you to the standard members group.

For 10 years, NJGUIDO.com has allowed free promotional posts in the forum. Your promotions are VERY important to us, but they unfortunately can no longer be free.

The members deserve to be able to interact with each other as they did in the past without being dominated by promotions.
It is beneficial for both the promoters and the members to maintain a community where the members can interact without being blasted to the next page by promotions. Of course we want these promotions but we do not want the members to have failing threads as a result.

In the event people that have not paid and are not in the promoters group attempt to post a promotion, we will automatically hide the thread and move the accounts into the promoters Unpaid group until payment is made.

The ultimate goal here is to give the community back to the people that spent hours a day on this site and to use your valuable promotions to a more interactive community. While I know that you are all still getting a great amount of business from NJGUIDO.com, I think I am being more than reasonable by asking for just $10/month.
This is not Girls Gone Wild, you do not have to signup for recurring charges and you can continue or cancel at any time.
